Pasjoli is a neighborhood French bistro from James Beard award-winning chef Dave Beran. Inspired by classic and modern French cuisine, pasjoli showcases creative touches on bistro fare utilizing the seasonality of the farmers’ markets.

Dave Beran is the chef/owner of restaurants Seline and Pasjoli, in Santa Monica, California.  Prior to moving to California, Beran worked at Alinea and NEXT in Chicago where he received a James Beard Award for Best Chef Great Lakes and was named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs in 2014.  Pasjoli has received numerous awards and accolades including being named one of GQ Magazine’s Best New Restaurants in America,  one of Esquire Magazine’s Best New Restaurants as well as one of The Top 25 Restaurants in Los Angeles by The New York Times. The restaurant was also a James Beard Award Finalist in 2020 for Best New Restaurant. In January 2026, Seline was named by Los Angeles Magazine as one of the Best New Restaurants in the city and just a few months later, Beran received a James Beard finalist nomination for Best Chef California.
